Which, yes, you knew that but why am I telling you this? Because people go for easy food, but I don't just want the easy foods, I want the good food, I want to be able to eat a dish and know that the chef in the back is passionate about what they are doing. Most people don't notice that, heck, I know I didn't for the longest time. I just ate what my mom put in front of me at dinner time, now I can taste the love she puts into every meal for us. And as I grow older and am baking things for myself, I prefer the quality, the love for the food over the quantity or efficiency of it.
Don't get me wrong, I still eat fast food, I still pick quick and easy food that no one really likes but eats it anyway. It was always there and will always be there and I will always eat it. However, that doesn't mean I can't indulge and give myself a treat to some well loved, well made food. Trust me, it's nice to go out, have a nice meal and know someone is out there doing what they love. Hey, I'm on the other side of the kitchen at times too, I work, I bake for a resort and I know that what I give out is really good quality and that the person eating it will know that I'm doing what I love. Which, will hopefully inspire someone to do what they love some day too.
If you can't tell by now, I am pretty passionate (
